Our Story

A Third-Generation Estate Liquidation and Antique Sourcing Firm

Three generations of antiques expertise, a lifelong pursuit of quality, and a thoughtful approach to helping families navigate estate sales, online estate auctions, consignment, and estate liquidation throughout Central Alabama and the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex.

Parker Place began in 1967 at a flea market in Decatur, Georgia. Founded by Janet Taylor Parker, it was built on a passion for exceptional antiques and a commitment to preserving history. From the beloved family store, On the Square, in Clarkesville, Georgia, to decades spent sourcing rare finds across the Southeast, our family has dedicated more than 50 years to discovering, researching, and preserving pieces with lasting character and craftsmanship.

After a devastating fire destroyed the store in 2014, we believed Parker Place Antiques had closed its doors for good. In 2026, Janet’s son Brad, a lifelong picker with a discerning eye, reimagined the family business alongside the third generation: his son Taylor and daughter Heather. Together, they built upon the family’s legacy while expanding Parker Place to offer comprehensive estate liquidation services.

Today, Parker Place helps families confidently navigate life’s transitions through estate sales, online estate auctions, consignment, direct purchasing, and thoughtfully curated antique and vintage sales. Because every estate and collection is unique, we recommend the selling strategy that best aligns with each client’s goals, timeline, and circumstances, always with integrity, respect, and a deep appreciation for the stories behind every piece.

Our Approach

A transition, not just a transaction.

We believe every estate represents a significant life transition, not just a transaction. Whether the best solution is an in-home estate sale, an online estate auction, strategic consignment, direct purchasing, or a combination of services, we approach every project with care, integrity, and intention. Every item is thoughtfully researched, presented, and marketed to maximize its value while respecting the home and the stories it holds.

Our Philosophy

Simple, strategic, and fully managed.

Estate liquidation shouldn’t leave families coordinating multiple vendors or wondering what comes next. We provide a comprehensive, end-to-end solution tailored to each client’s needs—from the initial consultation and planning through sorting, research, pricing, staging, marketing, sales, donation coordination, and final property preparation.

Because every estate is different, we recommend the selling strategy that best aligns with your goals, whether that’s an estate sale, online estate auction, consignment, direct purchase, or a customized combination of services.
